Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating security practices into our DevOps processes, ensuring that our software is both secure and delivered efficiently. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to automate security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Security Integration: Incorporate security practices and tools into the software development life cycle to ensure that security is a priority from the start and throughout all stages of development.
• Automation of Security Processes: Automate security testing and compliance checks to fit them seamlessly into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, making security checks both efficient and consistent.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement security solutions.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor security metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and lead post-incident investigations.
• Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to team members on security best practices.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevSecOps or related roles, with a strong understanding of integrating security into DevOps processes.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and incident response procedures.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Knowledge of related security frameworks and compliance standards.
