The Governance Lead will join a logistics and finance team to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The candidate should also possess interpersonal skills to communicate effectively within a cross functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Governance & DOTMLPF-P activities (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, Policy) within an Executive Team structure reporting directly to Senior Leadership.
- Develop a holistic governance strategy approach across the DoD customer’s organization applying executive level experience to best leverage Senior Leader Forums and ensure proper alignment of initiatives to stakeholders, governance and operations processes.
- Communicate clear options for decision making, manage action and decision logs with a focus on active action tracking from ideation through resolution.
- Develop and gain alignment from key cross-functional and senior leader stakeholders as needed.
- Design and support implementation of proposed logistics and financial business process reengineering key transformational changes developed within the construct of DOTMLPF-P; identify and mitigate blockers or barriers to adoption
- Develop comprehensive transformation support packages in coordination with subject matter experts and Organizational Change Management personnel with the goal of consistent messaging and quality content at all levels.
- Create strong partnerships with stakeholders at the action officer and management level that own and influence frontline processes across DOTMLPF-P domains.
- Identify client financial and logistics pain-points and propose solutions to address and remediate issues
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience performing similar work
- BS/BA Degree in related field
- Secret security clearance is required
- Preferred experience serving on Army Materiel Command, Training and Doctrine Command, Combined Arms Support Command or Army Staffs or equivalent experience at other DoD Armed Service
- Must have skill-level appropriate knowledge of DoD or Service level organizational structures and operational roles; DoD or Service level operations and staffing process/staff actions, operations process, and governance forums
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to prepare briefing products and brief at executive level senior leadership forums
- DoD Experience with DOTMLPFP analysis and change recommendation procedures to achieve implementation in accordance with agile software fielding schedules
- Experience with Federal financials and logistics processes
- Must possess experience with Microsoft Office products
