FLSA: Part-time 20-24 hrs wk/non-excempt

Job Summary:

The contractor will manage the full range of Division's Information Technology (IT) functions with special emphasis to Sharepoint management. Proficient in building and maintain Power Apps

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining multiple IT systems
  • Retire and properly dispose of IT systems that have reached the end of useful life
  • Work closely with the supervisor to provide timely and satisfactory customer support to District/Division personnel, identify problems and quickly resolve
  • Participate in classified meetings; frequent communications with management and InformationTechnology Division (ITD) personnel in order to keep the program office informed of IT plans andprojects. Regional personnel rely on the contractor to disseminate significant IT information critical to the USMS mission
  • First point of contact for the Division's Service desk in resolving highly technical and sensitive issues. If necessary, management will assist the contractor in pursuing a solution with Headquarters personnel or other partner agencies
  • The contractor will use experience gained through supporting Division to help the USMS design effective information systems for Division; guidance will be provided by Division management in pursuing innovative solutions to network and office automation infrastructure, application, and information challenges
  • The contractor will be called upon by management to provide assistance on specific functional concerns through the ISR medium
  • Ensure IT objectives are successfully achieved, as directed by management; promptly apprises management and affected peers/users of potential or actual problems and recommend/assume appropriate course of action to resolve technical matters
  • Limited, short-term travel required
  • Design and maintain Power Apps
  • Participate in special projects/other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of software and systems development life cycles, including performance measurement principles and methods, and ensuring incorporation of appropriate security measures throughout life cycle
  • Knowledge of practices, methods, and techniques to install, maintain, integrate, and support IT hardware, software, and services; ability to develop improvements of work methods for solving problems related to IT systems
  • Knowledge of standard operating systems, hardware and software suite (e.g., Microsoft Windows, Unix, MAC OS, Microsoft Office, Android OS, Sharepoint)
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, including local and wide area networking, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and web-based technologies
  • Knowledge of methods, practices, and tools for troubleshooting, recovery, adjusting, modifying, and improving IT systems in order to provide technically sound advice and assistance to solve complex problems and support
  • Knowledge of data processing documentation procedures, standard data elements and codes, fact- finding approaches, decision logic tables, and structured analysis and design methodologies
  • Knowledge of peripheral equipment to include printers, modems, and CD-ROM's
  • Proficiency in preparing written material
  • Able to effectively communicate vocally
  • Ability to work well with others, often in an inter-agency or inter-Departmental environment
  • TS Clearance required to work in a high-security environment and observe a combination of USMS security procedures
