Jr. Financial Analyst – Federal / DoD / Defense Audit

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Federal / DoD Audit Liaison to support financial and operational audits by coordinating audit requests, managing corrective action plans (CAPs), and ensuring compliance with federal financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Defense Travel System (DTS), and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), as well as a strong understanding of financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and other required reports for audit purposes.
• Support internal and external stakeholders in resolving financial discrepancies and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal reviews and self-assessments to proactively address potential audit issues.
• Assist with the review, analysis, and validation of Dormant Account Reviews - Quarterly (DAR-Q)
• Coordinate and track audit deliverables, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address audit findings and recommendations.
• Analyze audit findings to identify trends and systemic issues, working with stakeholders to develop process improvements.
• Maintain detailed audit documentation and records to support compliance with federal financial management regulations.
• Provide expertise in ADVANA, GFEBS, DTS, and PIEE, ensuring data accuracy and proper financial documentation for audits.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing, financial compliance, or federal financial management.
• Experience managing audit responses and corrective action plans.
• Familiarity with FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness).
• Knowledge of DoD financial regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal controls.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:
• Experience supporting DoD, federal agencies, or government contractors.
• Strong working knowledge of ADVANA, GFEBS, DTS, and PIEE.
• Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
