Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Test Engineer to join our client's team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a leading aerospace and defense firm. This is a seven-month contract role offering the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.
Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:
As a Test Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services.
These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated ground-based and aerial vehicles.
This position is situated within a dynamic team-focused environment, emphasizing the planning and execution of comprehensive testing for mission systems, payloads, and base vehicles.
Our testing approach evolves with the design maturity, extending from initial stages through to post-production follow-ups on subsequent articles.
The role involves extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards.
Qualifications of the Test Engineer:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of experience
Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
Extensive experience in missile testing and missile operations
Proven background in the Aerospace and Defense industry
Proficiency with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies, including both manual and automated testing
Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports, ensuring compliance with system requirements
Strong understanding of Product and Quality Assurance principles, with experience in generating and resolving product non-conformances
Experience conducting certification testing for various certification organizations, such as the FAA, NASA, or the DoD Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Execute testing (local and off-site) in accordance with approved test plans and test procedures to evaluate or demonstrate functionality of components, sub-systems, mission systems and other article systems and capabilities.
When required, travel to offsite test locations and lead/participate in planned test activities.
