Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a responsible Custodian to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division located at our Magna, UT facility.

The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or , to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep. They will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors
• Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous custodial experience required
• Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
• Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Good physical condition and strength

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of additional education/experience
• Ability to pass the Safe Explosive Act (SEA) background check
