Program Security Officer

Key Role:

Be responsible for the management, direction, administration, and assisting with development of security programs, policies , and procedures to support the onsite government team. Develop research methods and c ond uct open-source analysis. Provide insight and guidance to modify efforts based on a changing information environment. Provide security management support for sensitive activities, Sensitive Compartmented Information ( SCI ) , Spe cia l Access Programs ( SAP ) , Compartmented Access Programs ( CAP ) , and Alternative or Compe nsa tory Control Measures ( ACCM ) activities. Initiate and manage personnel security records for SCI, SAP, or CAP related programs to include the use of DISS and Scattered Castles ( SC ) , the preparation of DD254s, and the indoctrination or debrief of individuals for access to specified SAP, CAP, or ACCM for the mission. Perform initial access eligibility determinations and create Program Access Requests ( PAR ) and CAP nominations. Process incoming and outgoing classified visit certifications. C ond uct internal self-inspections and assist with Staff Assistance Visits and Customer Security Assessments. Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records, and final disposition documentation. Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes. Interpret and implement security classification guidance. Investigate and document security incidents or violations, providing recommendations for corrective actions to program personnel or management. Develop and maintain the team's security Standard Operating Procedure ( SOP ) . Attend, support, and participate in staff meetings and teleconferences. Perform ad hoc administrative or executive support and security services. Develop or coordinate on periodic security reports. Maintain the program's access control system. Develop or maintain program Fixed Facility Checklists to establish or update classified work areas, including maintaining necessary waiver or approval records. Maintain access roster management. Ensure personnel comply with security requirements within government facilities. Develop or c ond uct formal, initial, and recurring security briefings, education, and training materials or events. Develop and maintain security related briefings, security classification guides, plans, Memorandum of Agreements or Memorandum of Understanding ( MOA/MOU ) , and asso cia ted security documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with personnel security processing and physical security standards
  • Knowledge of SAP, CAP, and ACCM
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a Program Security Officer, or 7+ years of experience as a Program Security Officer in lieu of a degree


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a SCIF
  • Possession of excellent communication skills


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
