Senior Industrial Engineer
This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.
The Senior Industrial Engineer holds the primary responsibility to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Excludes "Health and Safety Engineers, Except Mining Safety Engineers and Inspectors" (17-2111).
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Industrial Engineer: $95,000 - $125,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior Industrial Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze and optimize production processes, supply chain logistics, and operational workflows.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven analysis to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Design and implement facility layouts, workstations, and material handling systems.
- Conduct time and motion studies to assess labor efficiency and recommend process enhancements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing process improvement projects.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress.
- Evaluate and integrate automation and advanced manufacturing technologies where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff on best practices and process improvements.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Senior Industrial Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.).
- Knowledge of CAD software for facility layout and process design.
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics, and automation integration.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant industry certifications.
- Experience in [specific industry, e.g., automotive, aerospace, logistics].
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production planning.
