Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician II to join our team at Eielson, AFB, Alaska. This is an intermediate level position that will provide technical support to ground-based electronic systems. Typical duties include working on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing. The duties and requirements listed below are not mutually exclusive.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required US Government security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems
- Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition
- Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays
- Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs
- Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
- Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
- Identify and report supply discrepancies
- Conduct inventories and maintain accountability, including ancillary and support equipment
- Perform inspections based on requirements and implement approved configuration changes
- Perform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentation
- Ensure compliance with Amentum's Quality Control and Safety Programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma plus successful completion from an accredited college or technical school in Electronics or equivalent military training
- Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the field.
- Demonstrate intermediate technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices, interpret circuit diagrams to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
- Demonstrate knowledge in the use of test instruments such as Oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment and analyzers
- Demonstrated proficiency in general electronics
- Good understanding of electronic, electromechanical and computer systems
- Good understanding of test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment
- Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power radio frequency devices
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to the component level
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehicles
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate certification(s)
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors and travel to remote locations
- Reside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with threat systems is desired
- Ability to read Cyrillic is desired
