Responsibilities
- Serves as a Security Specialist and has experience and knowledge working as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following security disciplines: Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Operations Security, Foreign Disclosure, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security, Special Access Program Security, Research Technology Protection, and Antiterrorism (AT) and Force Protection (FP). Responsible for the management, implementation, interpretation, and development of the security program(s). Supports day-to-day operations of assigned areas and acts as a liaison with higher-level managers, subject matter experts, and customers both within and outside the Agency. Analyzes, plans, advises, and evaluates the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting the information, operations, facilities, and/or personnel of the Agency from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
- Prepares briefings and reports for Agency senior leaders, higher-level managers, customers, and peers. Has experience with public speaking and briefing senior leaders and higher-level managers on security related topics. Has experience with task management, task management systems, spreadsheets, programmatic, and understands process management from initiation to completion.
- Analyzes threats and makes recommendations on needed security equipment, methods, procedures, and systems to mitigate any existing threats. Reviews, interprets, and implements Executive Orders, DoD and Agency policies, inter-Agency guidance, and local procedures related to assigned program(s) areas. Conducts inquiries, evaluations, assessments, or investigations into security concerns.
- Conducts security studies, assessments, and surveys and provides recommendations and briefings on policy/position papers relative to the Personnel, Physical, Information, Special Compartmented Information/Special Access Programs, Operations, Industrial, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection, and Information Security programs.
- Prepares written reports and assessments and makes recommendations for corrective action. Coordinates within the Agency, other US agencies, military services, and state, local, and tribal partners to resolve security concerns and to improve security programs. Ensures security standards are being administered by reviewing and making recommendations regarding existing policies, procedures, and techniques and develops new or modifies existing security policies, processes, and procedures in assigned areas.
- Develops, reviews, and modifies Agency security training as needed. Conducts security training and education in security awareness events, Agency sponsored training, or other venues. Conducts debriefings and performs other related educational requirements.
- Has experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Qualifications
- Has experience and knowledge working as a subject matter expert in 3 or more security disciplines.
- Seeking experience in PERSEC/Suitability, FDO and/or any other security disciplines.
- Has experience with task management, task management systems, spreadsheets, programmatic, and understands process management from initiation to completion.
- Has experience preparing briefings and reports for senior leaders, higher-level managers, customers, and peers.
- Has experience public speaking and briefing senior leaders and higher-level managers on security related topics.
- Has experience with security training and training workforce employees.
- Has experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- 10 years or more military or Security experience or a bachelor's degree.
- Must have TS/SCI clearance.
