SATCOM Process Engineer

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a SATCOM Process Engineer. The Engineer will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering within SATCOM, Nuclear, and software intensive system environments.

Responsibilities Include:

The individual shall be able to:

• • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, and modifying manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Advanced Engineering degree preferred, and 5 years must be in the DoD, OR a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, of which 8 years must be in the DoD.
