Senior Mechanical Engineer

The role involves performing technical inspections of mechanical work, ensuring contractor compliance with design documents, and monitoring quality control programs for an overseas construction project. Responsibilities include reviewing project drawings, contractor submittals, and shop drawings, ensuring quality assurance, and monitoring safety programs. The incumbent evaluates construction progress, identifies issues, and recommends solutions to the Project Director.

A degree in mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university in the United States, with at least seven years of relevant experience is required. A PE license may substitute for a degree. Overseas experience, knowledge of international codes, and security clearance (Final Secret or higher) are preferred. The role requires familiarity with construction safety regulations, RFIs, IGEs, and Microsoft Suite. The incumbent must be able to interpret technical drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, and provide detailed progress reports.
