MAG is seeking a Network Support Technician to work on-site to help analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate the existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75000 to $85000 (annualized USD). MAG is seeking a Network Support Technician to work on-site to help analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate the existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to
- Provide daily network administration and access to operations, test and training personnel/students for SAP/SAR networks and systems.
- Support operations to provide mission connectivity between multiple locations including, FOLs, AOCs, CONUS locations, and HHQ
- Support COMSEC program management to include coordinating completion of weekly and monthly tasks
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include
- Must possess and maintain current DoD 8570.01-M certification for IAT Level II
- Must possess DoD8570.01 IAM Level I.
- Minimum one and a half (1.5) years of experience and recent (within one (1) year) network management
- Include computer server and switch administration
- Experience with Virtual Machine operations.
Minimum Experience
- 4.5 Years Experience in Network administration
- 2 Years of Experience in applicaiton of the RMF, ICD 705 and the JSIG
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
- High school diploma
Desired Requirements
- Experience with Linux, Git, modeling/simulation, distributed systems, statistics, college level calculus-based physics, linear algebra.
- Basics of signal processing, control theory, information theory are also a plus.
Clearance
- TS/SCI- must have SAP/SAR eligibility.
- All personnel shall require a U.S Citizenship
