About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Test Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems integration, test planning, execution, and leadership within complex system environments. This role will require a deep understanding of the DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, and Systems Engineering of large-scale System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments. The position also demands a strong background in Agile methodologies and proficiency in digital engineering tools like Jira, Confluence, and DOORS Next Gen (DNG).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate teams of 5+ engineers in test planning, execution, and troubleshooting for complex systems.
  • Orchestrate and oversee testing activities, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met while adhering to the systems engineering life cycle.
  • Provide expert leadership on systems integration and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies, develop test cases, and identify system requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the testing process by integrating Agile development methodologies and optimizing workflows.
  • Support the NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) with systems engineering, test planning, and execution efforts.
  • Utilize Jira, Confluence, DOORS Next Gen (DNG), and other digital engineering tools to manage requirements, track progress, and report results.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems) OR equivalent experience of 4+ years in lieu of a degree, or 2+ years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and understanding of the systems engineering life cycle and best practices for integration and test activities.
  • Proven experience leading teams of 5+ engineers for test orchestration, planning, and execution (5+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and test practices for software systems.
  • Direct experience supporting the NGA and/or mission partners.
  • Proficiency in digital engineering tools including Jira, Confluence, and DOORS Next Gen (DNG) or similar tools for requirements management and documentation.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
