Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Staff Engineer to join our team! This individual will work directly with the Staff Chief Engineer and other Senior Technical Directors supporting the Special Programs and Systems Team within the High Consequence Missions Sector. You'll interface across multiple cross discipline teams to develop key technologies, integrate and shape solutions for our program directorate, and support the creation of new strategies to win and perform future programs. This position will be on-site in Centreville, VA.

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Staff Engineer to join our team! You'll interface across multiple cross discipline teams to develop key technologies, integrate and shape solutions for our program directorate, and support the creation of new strategies to win and perform future programs. Responsibilities Include:
- Support proposal development, whitepapers, and new program acquisition efforts
- Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, and delivery phases of programs
- Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership
- Interface with senior leadership to develop new technologies on Internal Research and Development (IRAD)
- Brief internal stakeholders and customer leadership on progress of work assigned
- The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in engineering, scientific, technical discipline, or comparable work experience
- Must have at least 10 years total related experience with at least 5 in a technical leadership role
- Must have experience in Software, Hardware, or Embedded Systems Development
- Must have active Top Secret SCI clearance and amenable for poly upgrade
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience directly leading diverse engineering teams
- Leadership experience should include at least five of the following: project planning, cost and schedule management and tracking, technology management, product development, performance reporting, proposals, program staffing, functional management and staff development
- Must have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, team building skills, and good oral and written presentation skills
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience as technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in business development and customer opportunity shaping
- Problem-solving experience in a team environment
- PMP certification
- Active TS/SCI with counterintelligence polygraph
