Principal DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Lead DevSecOps integration efforts to implement CI/CD solutions in an agile environment.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Integrate and administer RedHat OpenShift and other DevSecOps pipeline tools.
- Oversee system integration, continuous testing, and deployment platforms.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in DevSecOps best practices and security frameworks.
- Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain DevSecOps tools and system infrastructures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement secure coding practices and compliance measures.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of open-source and commercial DevSecOps tools.
- Promote a "fail fast" approach to innovation while adhering to security and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
- Experience in RedHat Linux administration, including system design, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes distributions (RedHat OpenShift, Rancher, EKS).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, Ansible, GitLab, BitBucket, GitHub, Docker).
- Experience in AWS infrastructure engineering and administration.
- Knowledge of application security best practices (OWASP Top 10).
- 2+ years of experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines, including static code analysis, dependency management, and automated testing.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, etc.).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, system administration, or related fields.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining both open-source and Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) software.
- Understanding of critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning in DevSecOps environments.
