Description:
The Construction Project Manager plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals of project completion within a specific time frame and budget are obtained by performing the duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position is based on site at the US Embassy in Bern, Switzerland.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Security Clearance: Mandatory current and active Top Secret Level U.S. government clearance.
2. Experience: College degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or technical field. Additional, 5 years experience managing similar projects. Must be familiar with government construction.
3. Skills and Abilities:
Ability to negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders.
Apply project management principles to organize and maintain construction schedules.
Ensure proper documentation is prepared, submitted, and filed according to regulations.
Strategically communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and all site workers.
Maintain oversight of project budget and participate in negotiations when needed.
Prepare and submit closeout documentation to the customer at project completion.
Work strategically with site Superintendent and Quality Control Manager.
Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position. Additional benefits and compensation package is included.
