Traveling Network Technicians needed for a 10-12 month project that is slated to go through 2025. The project will be swapping out different networking equipment, including: Cisco Routers + Switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), etc.
The right candidate will have experience with:
Decommissioning + configuring + troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls.
Racking + stacking servers.
good oral + written communications skills.
This project will be supporting the newly built DoDNET and helping get the agencies ready to migrate prepared for that migration by upgrading outdated equipment across the world. It is 80-90% travel. The 10-20% that is not can be worked from home. Home base for the program and where the equipment is being shipped out of is Fort Meade
Requirements:
- 3-5 Years of Experience decommissioning + replacing + configuring Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
- 1-3 Years of Experience Racking/Stacking servers or working in a datacenter environment
- Good communication + documentation skills are necessary
