You will be the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Engineer for our team, supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time, closed-loop HWIL capabilities. Our team is responsible for integrating and testing complex systems, and we're looking for an engineer with experience in HWIL integration and testing.
What You Will Be Doing
As the HWIL Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of HWIL capabilities, and supporting the integration team in debugging software, hardware, and designs. You will work closely with a multi-discipline team to integrate stimulation equipment into the HWIL facility and test air vehicle SW, FW, and HW. This will be an opportunity for you to grow into a team lead role with the HWIL team.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, developing, and implementing real-time, closed-loop HWIL capabilities
• Integrating and testing complex systems, including software, hardware, and stimulation equipment
• Debugging software, hardware, connectors, timing, and designs
• Providing technical feedback to the team and supporting program meetings
• Interfacing with a multi-discipline team to integrate and test systems and subsystems
• Using lab equipment to troubleshoot hardware and software failures

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. A Final Secret Clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or equivalent professional experience
- Experience interpreting customer needs, working with the team to develop software solutions, product backlogs, and providing technical feedback to the team
- Systems experience integrating HW and SW
- Active Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of Product Ownership experience working in an Agile development environment
- Experience as an engineer working with multi-disciplined teams
- Experience performing Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis and HWIL design and simulation analysis
- Support preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses.
- Experience integrating models into a closed-loop simulation using real-time operating systems (RTOS, e.g. iHawk with RedHawk)
- Flight software integration and verification experience is also a plus
- Experience using RF Test Equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
