PMO Manager

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active DOE Q clearance or the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance to be considered.

The PMO Manager supports the Program Manager in leading and coordinating the contractor project management team to ensure successful program execution. This role involves overseeing project planning, organization, and coordination to deliver within scope, schedule, and budget. The PMO Manager will work closely with internal teams, customers, and the ePMO to ensure all program and project requirements are met and will contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for PMO Manager: $160,000 to $170,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

PMO Manager Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead and provide management to the project management team, ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Support project execution, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and technical targets.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand technical and mission requirements and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, across functional organizations, and directly with the customer.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively while capitalizing on opportunities to improve program outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment that aligns with Criterion and customer values and ethics.
  • Coordinate with the ePMO to ensure compliance and timely reporting of program and project progress.
  • Contribute to ongoing program improvements and provide support for continuous quality management.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all project deliverables and outputs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


PMO Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) with 8+ years of relevant experience in program/project management.
  • 8+ years of prior relevant program/project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with prior experience working with senior management to deliver customer solutions.
  • Proven track record of leading performance-driven projects/programs and managing diverse staff.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with experience in identifying issues, taking corrective actions, and mitigating risks.
  • Financial acumen to manage program budgets and monitor project performance against cost objectives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in developing and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organizational environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
  • Agile and Scrum certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/365, Project, and video collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.).
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
