Position Summary: Kenjya-Trusant, LLC (KTG) is seeking a Casework Assistant to provide support services related to international child abductions or adoptions, and emergency services such as evacuation from countries in crisis to efficiently and effectively support the Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) Overseas Citizens Services (OCS).

Essential Job Functions:
  • Proficient in all tasks of the Administrative Assistant II/OMS position.
  • Draft routine correspondence for signature by their supervisor and other bureau officials.
  • Assist officers with case processing (open cases in appropriate database, correct template letters being utilized, follow appropriate SOPs, guidance documents, and FAQs).
  • Draft and prepare cables.
  • Provide sustained support to legal assistance coordinators and Country Officers.
  • Serve as the lead on managing the section's correspondence.
  • Maintain a paper filing and/or an electronic filing system for all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Analyze and maintain monthly case stats for the branch due every 1 st of the month.
  • Serve as notetaker for Branch, Division, and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Serve as Consular task force case worker as requested.
  • Perform other appropriate tasks, assignments and duties as required and assigned by their immediate Government manager.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Three -five (3-5) years of experience serving in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of Office Products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to type mistake-free final forms (letters, memorandums, cables, speeches, briefing papers, etc.), many of them destined for CA upper management, the White House, and/or Members of Congress.
  • Strong attention to detail (Can review documents/applications for completeness and identify errors, missing information, and communicate them).
  • Ability to work on a team and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt and conform to the changing needs of the office and/or directorate.
  • Required Security Clearance is Secret.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $26.92-29.31
