Job Title: Sr. VMware Consultant

Job Description: TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Sr. VMware Consultant to join our team for a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role involves supporting VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) deployments across multiple U.S. Army bases. The consultant will work closely with a team of five members, including an Architect and Staff Consultant, to deploy and optimize VCF environments at each site.
Responsibilities:
• 2-3 week travel to various U.S. Army bases to provide onsite support for VMware VCF deployments, fully remote support for 1 month following travel. Then repeat.
• Analyze the existing environment and collaborate with the team to develop a plan for optimal utilization of the new VCF environment.
• Work from home and the assigned regional sites for VCF deployments.
• Provide expert guidance and support in deploying VMware VCF or the product suite as separate components.
• Obtain VCF certification within the first three months of employment (certification costs covered upon completion).
• Ensure the successful implementation and optimization of VCF environments to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the Architect and Staff Consultant to address any issues and provide solutions to enhance the VCF deployment process.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and the customer to ensure project success.
Required Skills:
• Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one (sponsorship available).
• IAT Level II Certification.
• Ability to work onsite at U.S. Army bases.
• Experience deploying VMware VCF or the product suite as separate components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience working with U.S. Army or other DoD environments.
• Advanced VMware certifications.
• Experience with large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
Work Environment:
