Amentum is seeking a talented and experienced Junior Database Administrator to support the Program Executive Office, Submarines (PEO Submarines), to perform R&D, technology maturation and insertion, analysis, testing, and systems engineering to assess and enhance microelectronics component technologies. This shall include updating and enhancing related microelectronics T&E facilities and laboratories; related capabilities associated with the Navy's FBM system and SWS; and DoD strategic weapons platforms employing advanced and critical microelectronics technologies. The goal is to modify and upgrade legacy microelectronics T&E facilities and technologies as well as develop and integrate the next generation of advanced laboratories, laboratory technology systems, test facilities, and other facilities to include design, development, modification, and stand-up requirements.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:
$80,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Responsibilities:
- The Database Management/Administrator I shall perform one or more of the following tasks in support of computer database administration: architects, designs, oversee the development of, or administers computerized databases, installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), use import utilities to install databases.
- Includes creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other database objects, as well as, management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases.
- Shall write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database and maintain a data correction log.
- Shall create and maintain data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was performed, tables and fields effected, submission effected, error code effected, and other pertinent metadata.
- Shall expand and update the data dictionary for the database and any related applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Requires a HS diploma (BA/BS preferred); at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiarity with database management and data pipelines and integration in a cloud environment.
Experience executing data import/export processes and developing customized data flows supporting cloud-based database solutions. - Experience managing data in support of a cloud migration.
Ability to work independently. - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite 365. - Able to efficiently use the latest reporting, analysis, and communication technology.
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
