Under direct supervision, the entry level data analyst for Industrial Safety and Hygiene (IS/IH) primarily responsible to maintain safety and health databases; compile and organize data; and create, publish, and present reports and metrics.
24x7 - Perform work on a rotating shift schedule, such as: 4 days on / 4 days off, 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree, with 0-1 years of experience with data collection, trending data and software.
OR
Associate's degree with 4 years of experience with data collection, trending data, and software.
OR
High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience with data collection, trending data, and software.
Preferred:
Experience maintaining information databases, compiling and organizing data. Creating and building reports and metrics.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(SHNM-ISH) Safety and Health Non-Manual Industrial Safety & Hygiene
Performs desk work, including writing, computer, etc. in support of line management safety and health needs. Review and generation of Safety and Health reports, records, etc. Development/management of Safety and Health process/procedure, training, metrics, etc. Perform Safety and Health surveillances and assessments.
Records generation, instrumentation and equipment management, and other industrial safety/hygiene functions. Oversights and mentors Line Management and workers on the implementation of industrial safety/hygiene hazard controls. Responds to events providing injury/illness response, monitoring of conditions, etc. Hazard analysis and control determinations in support of project work activities. And conducts oversight and monitoring during work task performance to verify that exposure control mechanisms are sufficient to protect workers.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule, 4 days on / 4 days off, 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68,644.55 - $101,584.72 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
- Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment
- Demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to organize and effectively coordinate multiple and frequently conflicting, concurrent tasks, with excellent follow-through.
- Identify ES&H trends, develop metrics, reports and visualizations to provide feedback to Industrial Hygiene team and safety management.
- Use data visualization programs, tools, and techniques to generate dashboards, reports, and presentations that aid in data storytelling. Develops and maintains Industrial Hygiene team metrics and communication products using Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Enter, gather, review, sort, manipulate and compile ES&H data on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis within a variety of web-based records management systems and databases.
- Include Incident Reporting and Information Systems, IH monitoring database, for noise dosimetry, heat stress, real time monitoring, gas monitors, etc., Microsoft Access (IH Instruments), inspection software data bases. List is not all-inclusive.
- Gather and manipulate data for ES&H activities, such as: Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) cases; heat stress monitoring, chemical sampling and monitoring, light surveys, hearing conservation noise surveys, respiratory protection usage, ergonomic evaluations, confined space evaluations, IH instrument and calibration management. Other data sources may apply.
- Contributes to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies, and systems relevant to statistical reporting, including preparation of appropriate documentation, reports, and/or spreadsheets.
