We are seeking a Data Analyst to support our program with SAF/FM (Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Financial Management and Comptroller). SAF/FM works to provide fiscally responsible resource management, auditable and timely financial services, and actionable decision support to deliver air and space capabilities for the Department of Air Force. In support of this organization, the Data Analyst will support in the the execution of data science methods using python libraries for Data Cleaning/Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Data Visualization. Additionally, the Data Analyst will work directly with federal clients to define strategy, drive technical development and create tools and services to automate workflows. In this role you will:
• Support SAF/FMF to maintain the UoT strategy and completeness controls based upon transactional level detail and data pathways
• Deploy analytical techniques and toolsets to support the development and review of financial system data (e.g., quantitative drill down) .
• Cleanse, validate, and analyze large data for system optimization in Advana using IQuery and Databricks with Python (PySpark, Pandas) and SQL coding languages
• Spearhead key financial system reconciliations and reduced completion time by 50%
• Develop and implement data output process to ease future processing of the reconciliations
• Generate financial report dashboards for the Air Force and Space Force to view reconciliations
Required Skills & Experience
At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret security clearance (interim ok)
- Four (4) year degree in appropriate technical field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years total professional experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics
- Must have strong proficiency in a programming language (e.g. Python, SQL, R) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik).
- Experienced working with large datasets
- IQuery or Databricks experience
- MS Excel
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
- Experience with cloud services for data storage and processing (e.g AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen analytical mindset to tackle data-related challenges.
- Experience with Advana and associated applications
- Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, including product managers and software engineers.
- Work effectively in teams, often with cross-functional groups
