JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key leadership role responsible for driving Astrion's financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and analysis. This role will provide strategic insights to support decision-making, enhance financial performance, and optimize resource allocation across the organization. The VP, FP&A will partner closely with executive leadership, business unit leaders, and key stakeholders to support Astrion's growth objectives within the government contracting sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the FP&A function, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial models to support business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the CFO, CEO, and executive team to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key trends, variances, and performance metrics.
  • Lead the process though collaboration with key stakeholder to develop the annual budget and long-range financial plans aligned with corporate goals.
  • Lead the preparation of the Monthly Operating Review package.
  • Develop innovative, agile and repeatable processes to report financial data to key stakeholders through the organization.
  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, quality of earnings, valuation analysis, networking capital analysis, and integration planning.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, leveraging advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to systematically measure performance.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A leadership role.
  • Strong background in government contracting, with a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial leadership, driving business performance, and influencing executive decision-making.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, with proficiency in advanced Excel, ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint), and business intelligence tools (IBM Planning Analytics).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
