Forward Slope (FSI) currently has an opening for a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to join our team. This position is located in San Diego, California with daily on-site requirements and RDO schedule.
Job Description:
This position supports the Navy and Marine Corps (NAVWAR/NIWC Pacific) Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) In Service Engineering (ISEA) Programs. Configuration Managers Identify and track modifications required to enhance and maintain the installed hardware and software configurations of the Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System – Next Generation (NITES-NEXT), Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System – IV (NITES-IV), Meteorological Mobile Facility (Replacement) Next Generation (METMF(R) NEXGEN), and the Hazardous Weather Detection and Display Capability (HWDDC) systems. They coordinate with developers, system administrators, hardware, and software engineers to prepare new operating systems for a software package installation. This position is also responsible for collecting and reporting metrics as required.
Required Qualifications:
Currently hold an active U.S security clearance or be able to obtain one
Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant field.
Two (2+) years of experience in performing Configuration Management: Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Audits for Military (or similar) Systems.
Desired Qualifications:
Military (METOC ISEA) Configuration Management experience strongly preferred.
Experience with the CMPro program
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $80,000 per year*
