Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Project Management program integrator to join our team at the Melbourne, FL facility.

The candidate oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages program rhythm and associated calendars
  • Develops/maintains Program Definition Documents (PDDs), Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS), and other Program Management Plans (PMPs)
  • Integrate, control, and manage program and product requirements
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, for intervention, and problem solving with project managers and functional managers
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers, integrated product teams, and suppliers
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
  • Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives
  • Actively work with Leadership to ensure success of the program
  • Identify Opportunities to save cost and/or schedule to bring more value to our customer and improve performance
  • Technical data package analysis
  • Facilitates Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management
  • Non-technical requirements management
  • Program Resource Management

Basic Qualifications - Principal Project Management:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of project management like experience OR a Masters degree with 3 years of project management like experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the scope of five years)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Experience preparing and presenting presentations
  • Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Basic Qualifications - Sr Principal Project Management:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of project management like experience OR a Master's degree with 6 years of project management like experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the scope of five years)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Experience preparing and presenting presentations
  • Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in project management
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last five years
  • Aircraft training, logistics, and operations skill set
  • Atlassian Tool suite experience
Salary Range: $78,700 - $118,100
Salary Range 2: $98,100 - $147,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
