ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Data Scientist to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice. We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data science related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in a mission-critical response operations environment.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non - technical personnel, to understand their data needs, suggest solutions, and complete assigned work in a timely manner.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of large data solutions.
- Lead and direct coding/programming (Python) tasks and initiatives.
- Model real-world big data problems applying probability theory and statistical analysis.
- Lead and/or design machine learning, statistical analysis, and data analysis tasks.
- Leverage existing and/or conduct custom Extract Transform Load (ETL) work to aggregate data from multiple repositories and condition the data to provide novel insights.
- Interpret data, identify features, and model variables, assess the quality of model outputs, generate alternatives, and conduct remediation.
- Support and lead data visualization tasks/projects.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards.
- Evaluate COTS, Open Source and other existing software and systems for implementation.
- Lead and support technical troubleshooting incidents, tasks, or activities.
- Identify, recommend remedies, and/or implement solutions which enhance existing software and system capabilities, performance, security, and other related functionality.
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years technical experience.
- 5 years' Advanced Data Science/Data Analytics experience.
- Experience leading and supporting complex Data Science/Data Analytics tasks and projects.
- Significant coding experience using Python.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data engineering, data visualization and dashboarding.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL).
- Strong database knowledge and experience (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
- Experience using AI and Machine Learning to improve clients' operations and solving complex data problems.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitLab.
- Experience managing projects and tasks and supervising employees.
- Experience maintaining and managing client relationships at high senior levels.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark and Databricks for distributed computing with large datasets.
- Strong working knowledge of Splunk.
- Knowledge of social network analysis tools (e.g., NetworkX) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
