ARPA H - Senior AI/Cybersecurity Risk Analyst
Amentum is looking for experienced personnel to expand our healthcare technology development support capabilities at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
Founded in 2022, ARPA-H is a Federal research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs - ranging from the molecular to the societal - to provide health solutions for all. ARPA-H advances high-potential, high-impact biomedical and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity to develop solutions to society's most challenging health problems.

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI/Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to join our growing team supporting ARPA-H offices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical AI/Cybersecurity risk analysis for ARPA-H programs and initiatives
- Offer expert advice on AI strategy, implementation, and optimization across ARPA-H
- Analyze and assess the cybersecurity risks associated with AI technologies
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the secure and responsible use of AI
- Collaborate with program managers and technical teams to integrate AI/Cybersecurity considerations into project lifecycles
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and cybersecurity threats
- Contribute to the development of AI/Cybersecurity best practices and policies
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Computational Biology or a related scientific field
- 15 years of experience in AI/Cybersecurity or a related field
- Extensive experience in large-scale, high-dimensional AI/data analysis
- Strong understanding of AI algorithms, architectures, and security vulnerabilities
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration
- Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- ARPA-H experience
- Other ARPA agency (DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E, etc.) experience
- National Institute of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), or Department of Defense (DoD) experience
- Experience in a R&D environment
