About The Role
We are seeking an Expert-Level Systems Engineer to lead and support engineering teams in applying a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. This role supports the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal Agencies to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of GEOINT solutions.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support engineering efforts across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
- Assist in requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, and system integration.
- Analyze and improve existing systems by assessing cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints.
- Advise on solutions designs and recommend changes based on requirements and emerging technologies.
- Translate mission needs into system and capability requirements.
- Perform system integration activities and support requirements allocation to system architecture components.
- Conduct trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Action (CoA) evaluations, and engineering assessments.
- Support strategic technical planning, risk management, project management, performance engineering, and interface design.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems).
- Alternative: 18 years of experience as a System Engineer may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience:
- 18 years of working technical experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
- DoD/IC Acquisition Process
- Requirements Process
- Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBES) Process
- Systems Engineering for large, complex System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
- 18 years of working technical experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including processes, tools, and languages.
- Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) products and processes.
- Knowledge of Aeronautical Safety of Navigation
- Certifications: INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP).
- Experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).
- Membership or active participation in professional organizations, such as:
- ACSM (American Congress on Surveying and Mapping)
- ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers)
- ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing)
- OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium)
- SAREM (Society for Applied Remote Sensing and Earth Monitoring)
- USGIF (United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation)
- Working knowledge of:
- Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Image Science, GIS, Geomatics, or related fields
- Confluence, Jira
- NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises
