The Naval Systems Department within Systems Integration & Test is seeking a SPY-6 Test Architect (TA) to be the technical lead for SPY-6 integration and test activities across all variants of the SPY-6 Family of Radars.
The SPY-6 TA will be the primary technical representative for all major integration and test events for each variant, across all site locations responsible including numerous in-plant labs, Land Based Test Sites, and Shipyards. The SPY-6 TA will be responsible for overall integration and test strategy and planning, ensuring team and system readiness to support events, interfacing with customer counterparts, building and maintaining relationships with our industry partners, and providing leadership and guidance to our site teams in preparation for these high visibility activities.
The SPY-6 TA will work closely with the Program Office and the Program's Tier 1 Engineering Leadership team, including the SPY-6 Chief Engineer and the SPY-6 Lead Systems Engineer. They will work directly with individual variant Test Architects on the SPY-6 program, helping prioritize technical planning and leading overall program integration and test strategy. The SPY-6 TA will frequently interface with leaders and technical subject matter experts within the program and customer communities, as well as Engineering leaders and cross-discipline development teams to ensure readiness to support various events.
This role is ONSITE with frequent travel up to 50% to SPY-6 locations including: Land Based Test Sites, Shipyards, Customer facilities, government labs, etc. The role may require extended hours.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

What You Will Do
- Develop strategy and lead overall program integration and test activates for all Test Architects within the SPY-6 Program
- Interface regularly with SPY-6 variant Test Architects to prioritize planning, share lessons learned, identify best practices, and implement improvements and standardization initiatives
- Interface regularly with the SPY-6 Test Architect for Future Technologies to define handoff points for integration of roadmap technologies into the main program
- Develop, implement, and maintain common software/hardware integration, test, analysis, and regression strategies for all program variants
- Champion improvements to integration and test planning, activities and initiatives across the program
- Drive technical planning and execution of integration and test activities at the various SPY-6 sites, including in-plant locations, multiple Land Based Test Sites, and Shipyards
- Communicate regularly with program and functional leadership to communicate testing challenges and issues
- Communicate externally, responsible for interfacing with leaders in the customer community
- Coordinate with program and functional leadership to address SI&T staffing needs across the program
- Primary SI&T stakeholder in relevant Program reviews, strategy, and bidding
- Travel as required to support integration and test activities with the team at numerous in-plant labs, Land Based Test Sites, Shipyards, customer facilities
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, OR a master's degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, verification, and validation
- Experience leading a technical team in integration lab, test facility, or in the field
- Experience with execution of technical and schedule performance
- Experience in radar integration
- Experience with MATLAB or data analysis
- Experience interfacing with customer representatives
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience on SPY-6 programs
- Experience with US Navy Inspection and Survey (INSURV) process
- Experience with US Navy Test & Evaluation (Development Test & Operational Test)
- Firm understanding of US Navy combat system qualification process
- Prior experience working at a remote test site
- Subject Matter Expert in Systems Integration, Verification, and/or Validation
- Completion of the Test Architect Development Program
