Job Posting Description: Serve as a Senior Technical Integrator to develop Integrated Fires solutions using multiple programs of record and rapid capability efforts within the Program Executive Office Missile and Space (PEO MS). Provide Subject Matter Expertise in gathering and integrating data from engineering, software, test & evaluation, configuration management, and logistics functions in order to develop, update, and maintain program documentation, formulate recommendations for decision makers, and ensure compliance and cohesiveness with all required Army, PEO MS and other relevant guidance, directives, and policies.

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide analysis of system specific capabilities relative to the integrated air and missile defense (AMD) force to contribute to an integrated AMD defense design, assess specific scenarios and emerging system capabilities to identify potential concepts of operation within the overall AMD portfolio.
  • Participate in development/assessment of models/simulations and test efforts to verify and validate AMD Task Force (TF) capabilities.
  • Participate in threat working groups and system capability assessments to help identify system of system capabilities/limitations and the need for future product improvements or combined future AMD TF operational capabilities.
  • Interface routinely with key action officers and leaders within the Army Capability Management Offices, the Cross Functional Teams, and ASA (ALT) activities. Gather and organize information on problems or procedures and provide information to internal and external stakeholders as required. Proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact operations management and direction of the program.
  • Support technical design and program management reviews. Assist or create briefings, information papers, or reports to Department of the Army (DA) level executives and Congressional representatives.
  • Analyze and help develop program strategies to devise the most efficient methods of integrating systems within the lifecycle framework. Specifically, assist in transitioning from rapid capability efforts to Department of Defense (DoD) 5000.02 programs of record within the traditional acquisition pathway.
  • Research and analyze program milestone requirements, identify potential waivers if warranted, assist in preparation of documentation strategy recommendations, develop briefings and material necessary to communicate the strategy, and document final decisions.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to multi-disciplined engineers, technical leads, and technicians in support of key customers
  • Possess critical thinking skills and the ability to conduct simultaneous efforts / projects with extremely short completion timelines.


Type of Degree Required: Master's Degree (Systems Engineering / Engineering)

Years of Experience Required: 20+ years of relevant experience supporting military or acquisition operations

Type of Experience Required:
  • Must have DoD acquisition experience, with specific experience in Weapon Systems Integration, Program Integration, and Project/Product/Program Management as described in the job description.
  • Must be capable of conducting independent analyses, evaluations, and assessments of technical and programmatic issues.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working individually as well as organizing and facilitating working groups.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to prepare detailed written reports and briefings suitable for presentation to senior leadership.
  • An active Secret Security Clearance is required, Top Secret is preferred.
  • Location: Huntsville, AL; This position is a full-time position with majority of time at government site.
  • Some travel will be required
