Install, configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools
Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and manage alerts for network anomalies
Set up and manage alerts for network anomalies, ensuring a timely response
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all network hardware and software assets, including routers, switches, servers, firewalls, and licenses.
Ensure that all changes to the network inventory are accurately recorded and updated in real-time.
Work closely with network engineers, IT support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure network inventory needs are met.
Continually monitor and fine-tune performance of Information Systems, conducting analyses of network usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, hardware and software capabilities, and other relevant factors.
Create, update and comply with SOPs and other documentation.
Requirements
Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as OpenText NOM, Nagios, PRTG Network Monitor, Wireshark, etc.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and integration with network tools.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Ability to create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
