Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks a dynamic and highly qualified individual to join our team as a Level 4 Information Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME). We value professionals dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and driving mission success for our diverse clientele.

The Information Operations SME will play a critical role in supporting STARCOM programs under the U.S. Space Force. Responsibilities include developing and implementing information operations protocols, analyzing Security Classification Guides, Critical Program Information, and Mission CONOPs, and engaging with Department of Defense leadership and Public Affairs.

This position requires assessing and providing strategic and technical guidance on Air Force and U.S. Space Force architectures, overseeing project requirements from inception to completion, and mentoring junior team members. The SME will enhance STARCOM initiatives, strengthen operational readiness, and ensure mission protection and information operations support.

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills, fostering a positive public image and safeguarding critical missions while advancing the U.S. Space Force's objectives.

Skills / Experience Required

* Actively possess a DoD Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for access to secure compartmentalized information (SCI)
* Personnel in designated positions may be required to consent to and complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph
* 15+ years of relevant DoD work experience
* 5 years' experience in SAP and/or SCI environment within the last 5 years
* Aerospace/industry strategy experience
* Demonstrated ability to initiate or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
* Ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff
* Experience completing detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission-critical challenges/issues
* Experience consulting with clients to define needs or problems supervises studies, and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
* Recognized industry leader in information operations with strong analytical skills
* Demonstrated excellent organizational and presentation skills
* Proven ability to be innovative and creative and capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
* Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with team members and senior leadership

Education / Certifications

* Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering degree in a field relevant to the position's functional area or equivalent work experience to offset the advanced degree

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
