FIELD ENGINEER III

CLASSIFICATION: Field Engineer III (Two positions); Salary
GRADE: Exempt; Regular, Full-Time
JOB LOCATION: Anclote Key, FL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential job functions include the supervision of a work unit; design, installation, operation, maintenance, & evaluation of equipment composing a complex instrumentation system; & may be required to design system components & make major design modifications for field installations.
GENERAL DUTIES:
OTHER DUTIES: May be required to work on par with degreed engineers in lab or fieldwork, prepare technical reports & correspondence, & provide guidance & supervision for technicians in activities associated with an independent operation or facility. May be required to perform housekeeping duties to assigned work areas & support other job related tasks.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a technical or service school graduate, have completed college level courses, and have five years' applicable experience. Must have a good understanding of engineering practices and principles and knowledge of related sciences and disciplines.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work assignments can be both indoor and outdoor under various environmental conditions. Travel will be required between different sites located along the coastline.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to bend, walk, stand and lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements.

- Systems may include radar, telemetry, flight termination system, communications equipment, and optical network infrastructure and hardware.
- Exercises independent judgment in resolving maintenance & operational problems in connection with complex systems, subsystems, & components involving equipment installation.
