Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer who will fill a senior role in MDA's System Design and Specification Directorate. This individual will support the implementation and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process to produce system-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office subsystem engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future missile defense capabilities
  • Provide senior-level support to the definition, management, and execution of requirements traceability; allocation of MDA Technical Core Standards adherence planning
  • Provide leadership of the MDA Engineering Requirements Group
  • Foster collaborative engineering technical interchanges across the MDA engineering community for requirements development
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:
  • Master's degree in a STEM field with a minimum 12+ years of experience.
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Technical expertise supporting government and contracting staff in systems and digital engineering
  • Experience in MBSE tools (CAMEO), principles, and methodologies for development, requirements, design, and analysis of architectures in complex DoD projects
  • Experience in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as they relate to missile defense, specifically related to the functional portion of the system
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the development, addition, variances, and changes to functional requirements as well as providing quality checks on technical documentation and products
  • Senior-level experience in document development, presentations, change requests, and other engineering products
  • Experience with interacting and supporting high level government customers (Senior NH-4 director-level and above)
  • Understanding of Industry/DoD engineering best practices, complemented with mature communication skills


Desired:
  • INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification
  • Previous MDA experience
  • Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems.
  • In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission.
  • Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software applications.
  • Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision.
  • Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
