Job Summary:
As a Software Engineer in support of our customer at the Naval Research Lab (NRL), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining our software incorporated within complex systems that process multiple different intelligence data sets. You will ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support the seamless flow of information across the platforms. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of development planning and implementation technologies with a strong background in traditional structured programming as well as object oriented programming techniques.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. - BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12-15 years' experience in software engineering; MS - 10-13 or PhD 10+
- Proven experience in software development.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Experience with front-end and back-end development.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex software issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Must have and maintain a minimum DoD TS/SCI (eligible) security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the intelligence community and mult-int platforms
- Familiarity with the NRL
- Familiarity with DoD security and compliance regulations (e.g. STIGs)
- Experience with database technologies and management.
- Experience with cloud-based development and services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
