SUVI is seeking a Financial CI Analyst to support federal investigative program in uncovering and analyzing financial crimes, including tax fraud, money laundering, and asset concealment. This role involves conducting forensic financial analysis, tracing illicit funds, identifying fraudulent activity, and supporting asset forfeiture efforts.

The Financial CI Analyst will work directly with federal agents and may interface other law enforcement agencies on interagency cases. Many investigations involve complex financial transactions that require deep expertise in financial crime analysis, fraud detection, and asset tracing.

This is a remote position with 30% travel required for investigative support, case collaboration, and legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic financial analysis to support ongoing investigations into tax fraud, money laundering, and illicit financial networks.
  • Trace illicit funds, reconstruct financial records, and identify fraudulent financial activity in complex investigations.
  • Assist with criminal and civil asset forfeiture efforts, including identifying and documenting concealed assets.
  • Work directly with federal analysts and agents and coordinate as needed with other law enforcement agencies in interagency investigations.
  • Utilize forensic accounting tools, financial modeling, and investigative methodologies, as needed, to analyze large datasets and identify financial anomalies.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports, financial charts, exhibits, and other relevant artifacts to support legal proceedings.
  • Provide expert forensic accounting support in grand jury investigations, prosecutions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations, investigative protocols, and evidentiary standards.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.), CPA, CFE, or Cr.FA highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, tax fraud investigations, or financial crime litigation.
  • Expertise in tax law, federal money laundering statutes, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and asset forfeiture laws.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial records, reconstruct financial histories, and support high-profile investigations.
  • Experience collaborating with other law enforcement agencies and interagency task forces.
  • Ability to prepare detailed investigative reports and support legal proceedings with forensic accounting findings.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for investigations, legal proceedings, and case support.
  • Top Secret required/ability to obtain.
