Synertex is seeking a Security Education Training & Awareness Officer to support our Department of Defense customer based in Springfield, VA. The position requires you to be onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Security Education Training Awareness Officer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the development, facilitation, and implementation of a multi-disciplinary security training and awareness curriculum for SCI programs.
- The ideal Security Education Training Awareness Officer requires excellent writing and speaking skills, creativity, sound judgement, and initiative.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in creating a security training program for a large program office.
- Experience in creating recurring schedules.
- Experience conducting briefs to large audiences.
- Experience tracking training certificates and updating training records.
- Working knowledge of DODM 5200.01 Vol.1-3.
- Working knowledge of ICD 700 and 703.
- Working knowledge of E.O. 13526.
- Familiarity with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM.
- At least 3 years experience building briefs using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Training Curriculums.
- The position requires to be onsite due to the classified nature/location of the program. The position will require to be on location at the Pentagon twice (2x) per week.
DESIRED QUALIFIATIONS:
- Ability to balance policy requirements with program mission and timelines.
- Ability to develop Annual Program Security and SCI Refresher Training.
- Must be aware of all DoD and IC Training requirements and seamlessly implement them in a Training curriculum.
- Ability to engender rapport with the military, civilians, and other contractors at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
- Familiarity with the DODM 5205.07, Vol. 1-4.
- Familiarity with ICS 703-01.
EDUCATION:
- Master's degree or higher: > 2 years experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher: > 3 years experience; OR
- Associate's degree: > 6 years experience; OR
- High School/GED: > 8 years experience
CERTIFCATIONS:
- Certified Authorization Professional (CAP); or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+); or CompTIA Security+ ce; or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
