Responsibilities
We are supporting the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) in continuation of the Institutional Conduct of Fire Trainer (ICOFT) sustainment and development of the Radar Training Device (RTD). The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components.

Responsibilities
We are supporting the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) in continuation of the Institutional Conduct of Fire Trainer (ICOFT) sustainment and development of the Radar Training Device (RTD). The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components.
- Maintain administration of a DoD network, server, and client based operating systems (Windows 11, Server 2019, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8)
- Maintain the enclave environment consisting of: Cisco switches, Dell EMC NAS, Dell servers, VMware/vSphere 7.0, Microsoft operating systems, Linux, Splunk, Veeam, & Active Directory
- Implement STIGs in accordance with weekly Cyber scans
- Derive systems requirements for future IT systems to support the software development environment
- Evaluate courses of action for system design changes, system improvements, and configuration changes to baseline architecture
- Utilize hypervisor (VMware) & virtualization concepts to develop improved architecture concepts
- Manage a VMware virtual desktop infrastructure
- Maintain the environmental configuration and security of the testbed
- Maintain compliance with S3I safety standards, facility standards, facility security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and six (6) years of experience; four (4) years of equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim Secret Clearance required to start; US citizenship required.
- Security + Continuing Education and a Computing Environment certification
- Experience with maintaining administration of a DoD network, server, and client based operating systems (Windows 11, Server 2019, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8)
- Experience with maintaining the enclave environment consisting of: Cisco switches, Dell EMC NAS, Dell servers, VMware/vSphere 7.0, Microsoft operating systems, Linux, Splunk, Veeam, & Active Directory
- Experience patching and maintaining systems within a closed restricted network
- Experience with a laboratory environment
- Experience in the management of VMware view virtual desktop infrastructure design
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
