Responsibilities
- Provide planning support and assessment of Operational orders of various types (EXORDs, OPORDs, WARNORDs, and FRAGOs) for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) impacts
- Assist the Government in task decomposition for OPORDs, implementation planning, and assignment of tasks and tracking to completion
- Assist the Government in developing, publishing and distributing relevant ISR annexes of theater Army OPLANs, CONPLANs, and exercise orders
- Manage task actions within various tool systems (e.g., Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), Open Task Tracker (OTT), and INSCOM Requirements Task Tracker (IRTT))
- Receive, brief, and disseminate Operational Directives and Orders issued by higher authorities
- Research, develop, and implement tactics, techniques, and procedures supporting operational policy
- Assist supported Divisions with planning and preparation of operations orders and weekly task orders
- Provide input to briefings, charts, executive dashboards, progress reports, and other informational products using various tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, and PowerShell)
- Represent the G6 in multiple Operation Planning Teams (OPTs), Working Groups, and other recurring meetings as required
- Coordinate Project/task meetings with stakeholders as required
- Assists in the collection and analysis of performance metrics and statistics
- Provide expertise for planning IT COOP and COOP related support functions in accordance with COOP plan
- Collaborate closely with the Headquarters/Unit staff elements, Actions officers, Project Managers and other staff personnel to complete and accomplish the assigned task
- Prepare operational briefings as required to meet mission requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum two (2) years' related work experience
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance (as captured in DISS)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to create, update, and manipulate data
- Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
- Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling information
- Highly organized; Strong analytical capability
- Proven ability to develop and present operational briefings to senior personnel
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years prior uniformed or civilian experience with Army operational procedures and processes
- Possess strong IT and Military Intelligence (MI) operational/mission/tactical background
- Formal writing or technical procedure writing experience strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of military organizational structures, and their functional interrelationships
- Ability to use various presentation formats such as dashboards, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and other reports to display results of analysis
- Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little or no guidance on time management and work organization
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Power Platform to automate and updating web-based database systems
