    Senior Systems Engineer III

    This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.

    As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

    Designs, tests, and integrates infrastructure platforms to meet business requirements. Documents build, configuration, testing, and deployment processes. Coordinates platform changes and upgrades with administrators and stakeholders. Implements security measures and performs infrastructure modeling, analysis, and planning. Assists with troubleshooting and vendor coordination. May provide operational duties for deployed platforms. Level III handles complex tasks independently and may supervise others.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Systems Engineer III:
    • Pay commensurate with experience.
    • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.

    Senior Systems Engineer III Responsibilities Include:
    • Design, test, upgrade, and integrate infrastructure platforms to meet business needs.
    • Document all aspects of the engineering process, including build, configuration, testing, and deployment.
    • Coordinate the implementation of new platforms, upgrades, or version increments with system administrators and stakeholders.
    • Plan and implement security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms.
    • Perform platform modeling, analysis, and planning for future infrastructure needs.
    • Coordinate with architecture teams to evaluate new technologies and recommend infrastructure products.
    • Assist system administrators with complex troubleshooting and coordinate vendor engagements when necessary.
    • Provide day-to-day operational or administrative support for deployed platforms in lab or production environments.
    • Work with senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
    • May supervise others in the completion of complex tasks and projects.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


    Senior Systems Engineer III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
    • Expertise in designing, testing, and integrating infrastructure platforms.
    • Proficient in documenting technical processes and workflows.
    • Knowledge of security measures for safeguarding infrastructure platforms.
    • Strong ability to assist in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
    • Ability to assess new infrastructure technologies and recommend suitable products.
    • Strong organizational skills for coordinating and managing infrastructure changes.
    • Ability to work with senior technical staff and supervise team members.
    • Ability to independently address complex tasks and present solutions.
    • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to solve complex engineering challenges.
    • Strong ability to analyze and plan infrastructure needs and improvements.
    • Skilled in conveying technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical staff.
    • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing project requirements.
    • Ability to take initiative, manage tasks independently, and supervise others when needed.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior technical and user teams to achieve project goals.
    • Proficient in using hands/fingers for handling, typing, and operating equipment.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally walk or stand.
    • Strong ability to see up close, at a distance, and along the periphery with depth perception and focus adjustment.
    • Capable of hearing and responding to spoken communication.
    • Ability to effectively talk and interact with others in various settings.
    • Comfortable working in a diverse office environment with varying personalities and functional roles.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office setting.
    • Capable of working with a wide variety of people with different expertise and abilities.
    • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
