Key Responsibilities

In this challenging yet rewarding role as a Systems Administrator, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You should have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:

Systems Operations:
  • System Operations Specialist in programs and contracts of moderate size and complexity.
  • Linux (RHEL, CENTOS, or similar).
  • Maintaining a VMWare ESXi infrastructure.
  • System monitoring such as reviewing memory or processes.
  • General troubleshooting skills in MS Windows, VMWare ESXi and Linux and any additional adhoc IT related hardware and software related issues.

  • System Administration:
  • Using puppet or other software configuration management tool.
  • Managing Linux system patches.
  • Scanning and mitigating IAVA vulnerabilities.
  • SYSLOG data and server environment.
  • Linux (RHEL, CENTOS, or similar).
  • Performing system administration with applications such Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby or similar scripting tools or software, etc.
  • Database Administration.
  • Configuration management
  • System monitoring such as reviewing memory or processes using Linux commands such as top and PS. 10.
  • General troubleshooting skills in Linux, and Puppet.

  • Systems Engineering:
  • Understanding of the Atlassian Architecture and Suite of software products (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crowd, Fisheye/Crucible, and Jira).
  • Administering the Atlassian Suite, writing JQL (JIRA Query Language), constructing Confluence pages, performing installations and migrations, and working with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, administration, 3rd party add-ons, etc.
  • Using puppet or other software configuration management tool.
  • Managing Linux/Unix system patches.
  • Helping teams improve their utilization of existing tools across a diverse set of processes including intake, backlog grooming, sprint and release planning, test planning and execution, incident management, and problem management.
  • Providing process and tools training for both individual users as well as new or established agile teams of varying degrees of size and maturity.
  • Developing valuable metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters for end-users and business leadership.
  • Documenting processes and standard operating procedures.

  • Systems Integration:
  • Information systems management spanning service level management, capacity management, change and release management, problem management, asset and configuration management, and other IT services.
  • Developing governance and lifecycle management policies and procedures.
  • Implementing all aspects of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework as it relates to Service Support and Service Delivery Processes.
  • Project management experience to include requirements management, control gates, monitoring and reporting.
  • Project management analysis, systems integration, organization design and development, manpower analysis, and human resource management as they relate to information technology.
  • Service delivery and service support, specializing in all phases of the system and software lifecycle from business requirements and processes, to software design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Network management, data center operations, infrastructure refreshments, systems and data technical architectures, customer help desk services, infrastructure refreshments, hardware and software releases and upgrades, corporate and enterprise technical policy analyses and information security.
  • Planning major organizational, technological and management transformations, organizational designs and enterprise expansions.
  • Linux, Puppet, Visual Studio Code.


  • Highly Desired Qualifications

    Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
  • Experience with or understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals in the customer's IT environment.
  • Web application development.
  • Maintaining a VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure.
  • Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience or familiarity with Server/RAID.
  • Bash, ruby, or python.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals within the Sponsor or Sponsor's partner's network.
  • On-the-job experience in identifying, integrating and implementing technology-enabled solutions and industry-best practices for the Sponsor.
  • On-the-job experience supporting and managing a Hadoop environment.
