Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton has an opening for an experienced Journeyman Mission Integrator. Become part of our team where you will partner with our client and the United States Space Force (USSF) to be the lead systems integrator for delivering the next generation of Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities. You will assist the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and integrating space and ground remote sensing systems as part of the Space Sensing (SN) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team.

This position will allow for a hybrid schedule; a person who is within a commutable distance to the site (El Segundo California, Colorado Springs/ Aurora, or Virginia/DC area) and can work a hybrid schedule will be preferred.

This position requires expertise in a variety of tool environments such as Microsoft Office Suite, Requirements, Architecture Management, Agile, JIRA, and other leading industry product lines for collaborating with stakeholders. The qualified candidate requires an understanding of Space Systems to integrate big picture system of system thinking with Space Segment, Ground Segment and User segments architectures to support to support AFRICOM and EUCOM Tactical, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance. This role also requires a collaborative approach to mission integration by utilizing your knowledge and experience to present industry and government technical information and operational needs to enhance the value of data distribution from space sensing mission to the warfighter. Together, the SN SEI goal is to develop a team that is innovative, professional, and eager to apply their expertise to support the mission that ultimately provides critical information from cutting edge systems to our warfighters to deter and defeat our enemies in battle.

The Journeyman Mission Integrator will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
  • Develop, document, execute and update portfolio and program system integration processes and products.
  • Recommend test strategies for Missile Warning kill chains.
  • Work with Government agencies to develop strategies for delivering OPIR data to meet AFRICOM and EUCOM operational requirements.
  • Incorporate Government-approved GFP/GFE/GFI and Giver/Receiver requirements into the Government Integrated Schedules.
  • Identify and recommend system integration technical and programmatic details for incorporation into relevant program documentation as required, such as PWSs, Statements of Work (SOWs), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Plan, manage, and execute integration activities over the life of the contract to include development of entry/exit criteria for each step of mission integration flow to ensure that the acquisition activities are executed to meet stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • 5 years' experience with BS/BA; 3 years' experience with MS/MA; 7 years' experience with AA/AS; in lieu of degree, 9 years' DoD experience as civilian, military or contractor with HS/GED is allowable.
  • 4 years' experience in request for information (RFI) management, space sensing data collections management, or intelligence analysis.
  • Knowledge of commercial or governmental space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.
  • Experience with USSF SSC/SN.
  • Experience in developing and building client relationships.
  • Experience in developing product or system requirements from clients' needs.
  • Experience in soliciting product feedback from end users.
  • Ability to align schedule with geographically aligned combatant command headquarters
  • Ability to travel to geographically aligned combatant command headquarters, to include international travel, as required (anticipating once per quarter or twice yearly).
  • Understanding of satellite systems and architectures.
Desired Experience:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 4+ years of experience in large-scale SE&I.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills
  • Experience integrating operational, technical, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual baselines
  • Experience supporting overall engineering integration of SE&I efforts for the DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs
  • Ability to establish productive and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and contractor teammates
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
