Program Overview
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Gun and Electric Weapon Systems (E) Department has been tasked to provide engineering, technical and administrative support for engagement systems of the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30). The Contractor shall provide engineering, technical and administrative support for GWS engagement system programs and projects. Programs include the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) which includes Gun Computer System Engineering & Management (E31), Gun Mount Electrical Design & Enabling Technologies (E32), Gun & Munition Systems Development & Integration (E33), Gun Mount Mechanical Design & Analysis (E34), Gun Computer System Software Design & Development (E35), and Gun Computational Software & Control Systems (E36). This support shall be provided in the areas of System Design, Analysis, and Engineering Support; Configuration Management; Technical Writing/Editing; Test Support; and Program Management Support.

• Target Salary? Hourly SCA Rate $27.70 + Fringe $5.36-$68,700k

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II:
The Engineering Technician II performs complex and unique engineering support assignments.
Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Designs and constructs major units and equipment.
• Develops new test procedures and measurement techniques
• Conducts tests and experiments to prove/disprove feasibility of design
• May provide work leadership for lower-level employees
• Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs.
• Responding to and tracking issued work tickets
• Supporting facility, assets, and equipment to maintain, repair, modify, replace, and upgrade
• Providing other support as requested.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Three(3) years of experience in applying engineering services to engagement system components and assemblies. This experience should include developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data.
• Experience with naval gun weapons systems preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
