Apogee is actively seeking a part-time Quantum Sciences Analyst supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate that will operate *mostly* remote and have occasional in-person meetings with the team in Washington, D.C.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Education: Masters in Engineering or Applied Sciences (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science)
Years of Experience: 5 years of experience with research and development in tackling cutting-edge research problems related to quantum sciences
Additional Experience: 5 years of experience in Quantum Sensing and Quantum Computing
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Education: PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science)
Years of Experience: 3 years of experience with research and development in tackling cutting-edge research problems related to quantum sciences
Additional Experience: 5 years of experience in Quantum Sensing and Quantum Computing

Location: Washington D.C.
Hybrid: Hybrid (able to work remote 90% of the time, but occasional in-office work is required)
Pay Range
USD $35.00 - USD $73.57 /Hr.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Maintain technical baseline competency and awareness of the state-of-the-art/art-of-the-possible.
- Research, analyze and mathematic, physical, and scientific data.
- Integrate and interpret data through various methodologies.
- Develop, recommend, and refine methods, theories, and techniques to evaluate solutions, enhance performance standards, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Exercise advanced methods and techniques in a particular field of scientific specialization.
