Senior Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a large-scale Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) program supporting Information Enterprise (IE) and Security Access Programs (SAP). In this role you will provide guidance and expertise for systems and data governance policies including framework development in accordance with SAP IT and DoD directives and mission-critical systems.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Apply system engineering principles to the solution of secure data and information systems design problems.
• Provide guidance, review and recommendations for system design and implementation for data storage, integration, security and collection.
• Provide engineering research, design, development for data services, data governance framework specific to data quality, security, usage, and sharing across SAP IT systems.
• Make recommendations and advises on system design, development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
• Evaluate overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability, security, and safety.
• Perform problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems.
• Define and interpret high level organizational engineering performance requirements and objectives and develop approaches to their achievement.
• Perform abstract or concept studies and analysis, requirements definition, preliminary planning, the evaluation of alternative technical approaches, and provides associated costs for the development or enhancement of high-level general performance specifications of a system, project, mission, or activity.
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategy, doctrine, standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as information technology, computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or another similar field.
• 10+ years' progressive experience in system engineering.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated understanding of system engineering principles and processes.
• Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) information management and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of DoD Information Enterprise and Special Access Programs.
