Position Overview:

ANSER is seeking a Systems Architecture Analyst to support a large-scale Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) program supporting Information Enterprise (IE) and Security Access Programs (SAP). In this role you will provide system architecture support and expertise guidance for business and information technology (IT) system's analytics, design, and/or evaluations to optimize the enterprise IT architecture.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and analysis of existing architecture to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, vulnerabilities or technology gaps.
  • Evaluate current enterprise structure for compliance with DoD directives, policies and standards.
  • Create an implementation roadmap detailing steps to transition from current to future state.
  • Develop and implement a framework to define roles, responsibilities and processes for architecture governance.
  • Work on a standardized and integrated digital engineering ecosystem across SAP IT.
  • Provide technical assistance regarding existing and new IT such as platforms, operations, networks, applications, and security.
  • Uses information engineer's analyses to draft system's information requirements for the design of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.
  • Designs architectures that include software, hardware, and communications meeting total system requirements and provides opportunities for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Ensure IT systems are compatible and comply with standards for open systems architectures, Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model applicable to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application.
  • Ensure the common operating environment is Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management (TAFIM) compliant.
  • Analyze and evaluate problems with workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as computer science, information technology or other similarly related field.
  • 2+ years' experience with information and system architecture.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in enterprise logic, systems, programming, and components and agency business data, technology, applications, and organizational views to strengthen IT architecture.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of DoD Information Enterprise and Special Access Programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) information management and technology.
