About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Remedy Engineer to join our team. We are seeking a skilled Remedy Engineer to manage, develop, and support BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite solutions. This role involves configuring, customizing, and maintaining Remedy applications to enhance incident, problem, change, and asset management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in BMC Remedy development, administration, and integration, along with strong problem-solving and automation skills to optimize IT service workflows.

About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Remedy Engineer to join our team. We are seeking a skilled Remedy Engineer to manage, develop, and support BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite solutions. This role involves configuring, customizing, and maintaining Remedy applications to enhance incident, problem, change, and asset management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in BMC Remedy development, administration, and integration, along with strong problem-solving and automation skills to optimize IT service workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain BMC Remedy ITSM Suite, including Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management, and Service Request Management (SRM).
- Develop and customize Remedy applications using AR System Workflow, API integrations, and Remedy Developer Studio.
- Optimize and automate ITSM workflows, ensuring smooth operations and process improvements.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and migrations of BMC Remedy applications while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Integrate Remedy with Active Directory, ServiceNow, CMDB, monitoring tools, and third-party IT systems.
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations for Remedy-based workflows.
- Utilize SQL queries and database optimization to improve system performance.
- Implement automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript to enhance IT service processes.
- Monitor Remedy system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance stability and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for ITSM-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of the Remedy environment.
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configuration records.
- Provide training and technical support to IT teams and end users on Remedy functionalities.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize service management processes and ensure best practices.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an EOD Public Trust.
- 3+ years of experience working with BMC Remedy ITSM Suite as an administrator, developer, or engineer.
- Strong expertise in Remedy AR System, Developer Studio, Mid-Tier, and Smart IT.
- Hands-on experience with Remedy API integrations, workflow customization, and automation.
- Proficiency in SQL queries, database administration (Oracle, MS SQL), and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Experience integrating Remedy with Active Directory, ServiceNow, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Remedy application issues and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- BMC Certified Professional - BMC Remedy ITSM.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (for ITSM best practices, must obtain within 30 days of employment).
- BMC Remedy Developer or Administrator Certification.
- CompTIA Security+ (preferred for security-focused environments).
